Ludovico Einaudi, "Nuvole Bianche"

Here's another timelapse video to rest your eyes and mind. The music is "Nuvole Bianche" ("White Clouds") by Italian pianist and composer Ludovico Einaudi, from his 2004 album Una Mattina. We often brought the CD with us on our summer trips to Idaho, and so this song always reminds me of nights out on the back porch, savoring the breeze; looking down the hill where you could just make out a family of deer, grazing in the shadow of the pines; moonlight dancing on the Clearwater River; Orion rising in a clear blue-black sky.

But you can close your eyes and let the music paint other pictures, just for you.

BONUS: "Nuvole Bianche" seems to be one of Einaudi's more beloved works, and it continues to offer people solace during this crisis. Here's a quarantined musician playing it on a balcony in Barcelona, with a view of the Basílica de la Sagrada Família in the background. Appreciative neighbors applaud from the windows of their own homes; even as we're kept apart, we seek each other out.
